A member of the hippie tribe Group Image is seen playing with three-year-old “Running Deer,” the son of another hippie, Karen, in their New York headquarters in the East Village, June 15, 1967.  Karen said she was a “frigid midwestern housewife” before she “dropped out” and came east.
